NOTICE OF COMMUNITY IMPROVEMENT PLAN

Notice of Community Workshop #2

Buckhorn Community Improvement Plan

To be held at
The Municipality of Trent Lakes Administration Office,
Council Chamber Lower Floor,
760 Peterborough County Road 36

on
Wednesday December 2, 2015,
7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
The Township of Selwyn and the Municipality of Trent Lakes have been working together in the preparation of a Community Improvement Plan for the community of Buckhorn.
The preparation of a Community Improvement Plan will establish improvement strategies for public and private lands in the Community Improvement Area and will enable the municipality to provide financial incentives to property owners to undertake improvements that meet the criteria established in the Plan.
MHBC Planning has been retained by the municipalities to assist in the preparation of the Community Improvement Plan.  A Draft Community Improvement Plan has now been prepared.  This second workshop is intended to provide the public an opportunity to review the proposed Community Improvement Plan before it is recommended to Council for approval.
If you care about the future of Buckhorn and would like to contribute to its future, please attend this second workshop and help finalize the Community Improvement Plan.
For further information about this project please contact Jim Dyment, Project Manager, at [email protected], or (705) 728-0045 ex 223

NOTICE: PROPOSED DONATION TO THE KAWARTHA LAND TRUST

Important notice

Presentation to council at the Trent Lakes council chambers:

Tuesday, November 3 at 1PM

Subject proposed donation to the kawartha land trust concerning Boyd Island

We do not oppose the land trust’s involvement in this project.  However we have strong concerns that tax payers money is being pledged to a private project.

Come out and hear both sides and support your association.

All Candidates Meeting Update, Roadside Cleanup & Nov Meeting

ALL CANDIDATES MEETING FEEDBACK

Many thanks to all who attended our all candidates meeting recently.  We heard from Maryam Monsef that it was the best all candidates 0ut of the 21 meetings they attended. Hopefully we all learned something.

FALL ROADSIDE CLEANUP

We are holding our next roadside cleanup next Saturday from 9 to 12 starting at the Buckhorn Community Centre and we need many hands to make clean work!  Maybe you have noticed the signage recognizing the work our volunteers are doing!?

FALL MEETING

Our next meeting is n Nov. 16th at the BCC.   One speaker will be a representative from Community Care who will speak to the services which are available to not only to seniors but victims of accident etc.  Another speaker will be a representative from the new Signature Site park.  This new park is a gift to our grandchildren as it will for all time offer a quiet place in our community.

For more information e-mail Janet [email protected]  We are in need of more members so please spread the word!
